The two-stroke engine with STIHL 2 MIX technology allows fuel savings of up to 20% and a reduction in harmful emissions of up to 70% compared to STIHL two-stroke engines of equal power, but without 2-MIX technology.

Long-lasting air filter with pre-filtering

When washing the combustion chamber, a cushion of clean air is placed between the burnt gases and the fresh mixture arriving from the crankcase, which reduces leaks of air containing fuel, thus lowering harmful emissions for humans and the environment.

Anti-vibration system

Precisely placed special damping zones reduce the transmission of vibrations from the motor and chain to the grip and handle.

Compensator

The chain is tensioned laterally through the spool. Any contact between the operator's hand and the cutting chain is thus avoided.

Ematic system for chain lubrication

Depending on the type of bar and the type of wood, the STIHL Ematic system reduces chain oil consumption by up to 50%. It consists of an Ematic bar, Oilomatic chain and an oil pump with adjustable and reduced flow. The lubricant thus reaches exactly where it is needed in a targeted manner and with little loss

Fuel cap that requires no tools

Electric carburettor heating

The carburettor heating, with temperature-dependent switching on and off, prevents the carburettor from freezing during winter use.

The new HD2 filter with polyethylene filter material has pores that are 70% finer than felt and polyamide filters, thanks to which it can filter even the finest dust.

It is also water-repellent oil, therefore easy to clean.

The PET-coated filter core can be assembled and disassembled in an instant without the use of tools.
